RWD Magazine

One of the things that i really like about this magazine is the layout it has been laid out in a different way to other magazines it makes it interesting to look at and read it also attracts attention as they use a lot of special effects using programs such as adobe Photoshop to create sell lines and the masthead.

What kind of stories will your audience expect?

- Stories to keep them updated on the latest gossip
- Stories mostly involving artists who make it global from the streets of London
- Talking about youth and crime, trying to cut it down

What is your slogan?

"The Truth is the key to grime"

How often will it come out?

It will come out twice a month. Start of the month
and towards the end.

How much is your magazine going to be?

My magazine will not be that expensive it will cost about £4.99 this is
mostly because the audience is teens and knowing teens we don't really want to pay to much for something, however as it only comes out twice a month £4.99 is a reasonable price for the quality of this magazine.

Do you have any other ways of attracting your audience?

My main way to attract youths is by giving them a little something with the magazine this can be a poster or a free mixtape. This will also help the artists if the youths like what they hear they will go and buy the mixtape

Grime Magazine Research

As you can see the artist ‘Giggs’ has straight eye contact with the audience this draws attention to the reader. They placed him in the middle of the page to emphasis that he is main feature of the magazine. The medium shot that is taken is used to show us his outfit, which makes a huge link to the grime genre of this magazine it also shows us his chain which gives him a high status and make us think that he is someone important and is respected. He has no emotion on his face; however he looks confident because he has his up and looks relaxed by slightly tilting his head to the side which gives off a carefree attitude. The colours that are used are pretty basic; red, white and the background is black.
I think that the target audiences for this magazine are people aged 15-24 year olds as the artist that are listed to the right side of the magazine are young artist which people between that age would listen to and would be interested to read about, particularly if they are keen about the grime scene. Overall, I think this magazine will be more attracted by males because of the colours that are being used which are very simple colours but bold.  There is not much on the front cover of this magazine; there is only an image of the grime artist ‘Giggs’ which will attract an audience of people that are interested in grime.

I would say that the target audiences for this magazine are people aged 15-24 year olds as the artist that are listed to the left side of the magazine are young artist which people between that age would listen to and would be interested to read about, especially if they are eager about the grime scene. Generally, I think this magazine will be more attracted by males because of the colours that are being used which are very simple colours but bold, these colours are used to show the urban side of the magzine especially with the red light reflecting off 'Sketpa'.  There is not much on the front cover of this magazine, there is only an image of  the grim artist ‘Skepta’ which will attract an audience of people that are interested in  grime.
